University Art Museum, Tokyo University of the Arts

The University Art Museum, Tokyo University of the Arts is an art museum located on campus.
Even before the establishment of the Tokyo School of Fine Arts, the predecessor of Tokyo University of the Arts, in 1887, the collection has reached approximately 30,000 items, including 23 national treasures and important cultural properties, including works collected for education and research, as well as works left by successive faculty members and alumni.
The self-portraits of artists who later became masters are also in the collection unique to the University Art Museum. There is no permanent exhibition, and in addition to showing some of the collections at the Geidai Collection Exhibition 1~2 times a year, special exhibitions on various themes are held, making it a recommended spot for art-loving tourists.
