The National Museum of Western Art

The National Museum of Western Art is the only national art museum that exhibits Western art from the Middle Ages to the 20th century, based on the Matsukata Collection, which was donated back by the French government. Special exhibitions are held about three times a year, including works on loan from Japan and abroad, and you can see famous paintings and sculptures from around the world. In addition, the museum building and vestibule were designed by Le Corbusier and are registered as a World Cultural Heritage Site.
