A courtyard with rosplants,
A lobby space exhibiting artwork that allows you to experience local culture,
Creating a working environment that values the diversity of our staff, who come from all over the world.
&Here TOKYO UENO will continue to strive to create a sustainable society.
We will do what we can, one thing at a time.
The courtyard is decorated with rose plants and the lobby displays artwork created in collaboration with a local studio.
The courtyard on the first floor of the hotel uses “lost plants”, which are plants reused from events and other occasions.
The artwork in the lobby was created in collaboration with a local studio, creating a mechanism to deepen understanding of the city.
Furthermore, in order to enhance the hotel’s appeal through an industry-academia collaboration project, we worked with students from Tokyo Communication Art College to create “hotel artwork” and “local promotional tools (tabloids and fans)” to enrich guests’ trips, and installed these in the hotel.
Examples of our efforts

Environmentally friendly,
Carbon-neutral toothbrush
Amenities include biomass toothbrushes that contain 30-35% bamboo powder.
In addition to using eco-friendly materials, we have also reduced plastic waste by changing the way amenities are provided to guests, from being permanently provided in the guest rooms to being available at the amenity corner in front of the front desk.
In addition, we do not replenish toothbrushes during cleaning, and we operate in an environmentally friendly manner.
Creating a working environment that respects the diversity of our staff
&Here TOKYO UENO employs staff of various nationalities, ages, and backgrounds.
In order to allow each staff member to utilize their unique personality in customer service, we have implemented “&Lover”, a city guide program by global staff members. Each staff member will provide customers with local information from their own perspective. We have also introduced automatic check-in machines to maximize the time staff can spend with customers.
